Sometimes you just gotta rest!

This week has been packed with getting things accomplished and organized and just tidied up - and I am oh so grateful, but the client requests coming in, the demands of basic day to day life - like cooking and cleaning up, keeping the kids entertained, and busy, and the brain power to make so many decisions has been a lot. My amazing husband has been working his butt off physically, getting the giant pool set up, which includes solar heaters that go up on the roof, amongst many other things. So between all of that physical work, completely alone - we are tired, and want a rest. Tonight, after a slice of homemade pizza, I gave myself permission to lay down and rest. It is important! Ideally, hubby would have been able to snuggle up beside me and both of us rejuvenate, however, like the superhuman he is, he watched the kiddos happily, cleaned up and is currently downstairs working on his computer hobby thing. He amazes me - but I see the need to continue to model rest and slowing down, and I think this is something this pregnancy is almost kinda forcing on us - is to focus on basics, and that really is a lot for a family with young children. Anyways, I am tired and want to get into bed. Our daughter starts dance camp tomorrow and it's important I get a few things checked off before the drive to the dance studio, including a complete breakfast, and I'm hoping to get to the hair supplier so I can properly tone this very blonde hair of mine that after last nights wash - isn't as pretty as I had anticipated. Priorities lol. But again, self care is an important thing to model and it really makes a big difference in the day to day of life.

As the quote in our kitchen says: Enjoy the little things!
